Colorado Pediatric Psychiatry Consultation and Access Program (CoPPCAP)
Program Overview:
The goal of the Colorado Pediatric Psychiatry Consultation & Access Program (CoPPCAP) is to increase access to child and adolescent mental health services across the State of Colorado by providing consultation to PCPs and the behavioral health staff in their practices and to support PCPs to better deliver basic mental health services to the children and adolescents they serve. Ultimately, pediatric primary care involvement in CoPPCAP will lead to earlier identification of mental/behavioral health care needs and treatment services. The core components of CoPPCAP are peer-to-peer consultation and practice support, education, care coordination and identification of local resources, and program evaluation.
